Days 177 & 178

Day 177, June 26/09
Emma got a new digital camera for her passing gift this year. She thought it was pretty funny to take a photo of me - taking a photo of her :)
Day 178, June 27/09
Dora and Diego visited the mall today. We waited in line for a LOOONNNGGGG time. Sophia was excited to be there, ("I gonna give them one kiss, and a hug..."). She was more excited when we got to the point in the line where we could SEE them. She was even MORE excited when it was almost her turn... And then she went on the stage, and wasn't so excited anymore. Emma had to go up & hold her hand and help her out so that she'd stay for a photo. She did NOT give them any hugs or kisses, however.

Days 174-176

Day 174, June 23/09
Some sort of white pretty flower in our garden. Bill & Goldie were our Gardening Fairies again this year, and planted flowers in our garden as our anniversary gift. Yay! I am SOOOO not a good gardener...
Day 175, June 24/09
Our big bush out back is flowering!

Day 176, June 25
Another photo of the peonies... they have now officially fallen over, so they are probably not long for our backyard... only until the lawnmower goes by, I'd say!

Day 169, June 18/09
Our peonies have started blooming. And falling over.

Day 170, June 19/09
Emma got her summer haircut today!

Day 172, June 21/09
Happy Father's Day! This is bedtime storytime on the couch.

Days 166 & 167

Day 166, June 15/09
Meet our newest family member - Molly the 7 week old pug! She is very tiny and very cute. Emma loves her. Sophie likes her, on her terms; and Lily isn't sure at all.

Day 167, June 16/09
Happy 8th Anniversary Shane!
We took Molly to meet the grandparents today. Emma took care of her on the drive home.

Days 162-165

Day 162, June 11/09
Sophie just off the slide. She loved it. "I go AGAIN!"
Day 163, June 12/09
Sophie's relaxing with all her things.

Day 164, June 13/09
A photo of Sophie's lovely new quilt from Grandma. It says "Sophia" across the top, but the "s" disappears down the side. Sophie loves it, she was saying "I LUBS my new blankie!" and giving it hugs.
Day 165, June 14/09
My favourite photo from today... I took about 60 of the girls this evening.

Days 159-161

Day 159, June 8
Sophie & Emma are colouring together. Nicely. For five minutes, (before the screaming begins).

Day 160, June 9/09
Emma's friend Karlie came over after school and they played Wii Cheerleader.

Day 161, June 10/09
Emma went out and played on the swings after school today, so I took some photos. I know she's not actually SWINGING in this one, but I like the look of concentration on her face.

Days 153-158

Day 153, June 2/09
This is the picture of frogs that Emma made for her show-and-tell. Because they're learning about frogs. Day 154, June 3/09
Sophie is having her snack. But she needed to sit in her chair with her blankie and purple baby before she was ready.

Day 155, June 4/09
Emma is playing with the magna-doodle.

Day 156, June 5/09
We made Emma clean up her room. It is generally her job to keep it tidy, but as the days go by, more and more stuff ends up on the floor...

Day 157, June 6/09
Sophie is packed & ready for her sleep-over at Grandma & Papa's house!

Day 158, June 7/09
Emma & Brianne are ready for bed & having their story!

Days 149-152

Day 149, May 29/09
The rain let up just long enough for me to go out and get a quick photo of the water on the hostas.

Day 150, May 30/09
Sophie was playing peek-a-boo by putting her arms up over her face, and then "scaring" us by pulling her arms down and yelling "PEEK!"

Day 151, May 31/09
Emma is sporting her make-your-own jewellery and doing a hula dance. Or, some kind of dance. It looked like a hula to me.

Day 152, June 1/09

Sophie is now doing her dance. Notice that she is now wearing the make-your-own bracelet that Emma left on the coffee table from yesterday. This, of course, started a child-war in my living room.

(Emma: "She is WEARING my BRACELET!", Me: "Emma, did you leave it out where she could get it?", Emma: "YES, but..", Me: "No buts, you know the rules.", Emma: "She is going to WRECK it!!", Sophie {small voice}: "I not wreck it.")
