Day 269, September 26/09
My new book, The Time Traveler's Wife... it's so good! I haven't seen the movie, but the book is wonderful. I've finished it since I took this photo, I couldn't put it down! I'm not sure I'll watch the movie; I have such a definite idea of how the characters should look & act, I'm worried I'll be disappointed, or that it will ruin my image.

Two seconds before this photo, Molly was sleeping like this, and snoring like a buzz-saw!! But, alas, she heard me get the camera out.. But she didn't move!

Sophie brought home some masks that she made at Tara's (or, "maskis"). She made Shane wear the glasses and she was a kitty; complete with "meowing"!

Days 259-261

Day 259, September 16/09
Sophie's very first dance class! I don't know why we were so worried, she did a great job! She went right into the classroom, sat down on her carpet square, listened to the teacher & really tried to dance! I was very proud of her.

Day 260, September 17/09
Sophie & Emma playing nicely with the finger puppet stage. I was off today, so Sophie was home with me, and I kept Emma home because she wasn't feeling well (although, it became increasingly obvious as the day progressed that she was really well enough to have gone...).

Day 261, September 18/09
What. Were. We. THINKING!
Took Sophie to get her ears pierced today. She was excited about it, hopped right up into the chair! Was a bit wary when the ladies came over with the gun-thing.. but even that wasn't TOO bad. But one of the ladies got the back part stuck on the earring & pulled a bit and there was SCREAMING and then CRYING and then MORE CRYING!

Honestly, I think that if they had just pulled the gun-thing and walked away, it would have been fine.. Alas, nothing is EVER that easy for us :(

Back into the swing of things, Emma had homework tonight, as well as her 1st day back at dance class!

The girls got their gifts from Tracey, Carmen & Connor today. Sophie loves her rocker-chair!

Day 251, September 8/09
Tara gave Sophie this baby for her birthday, she came with a potty, bottles, bib, and other accessories. Sophie has been taking such good care of her!

Day 253, September 10/09
We gave Sophie a "build-a-dog" set for her birthday, and she and I "made" the puppy today (ie. shoved some stuffing into his tummy). He came with a sweater, necklace and purse. Sophie named him "Germy" and loves him very much.

Happy Birthday Party Sophie! We had a lovely barbeque with some family members, and spent most of the afternoon outside. We had great weather, which is very unusual for a day when we've planned a party! Sophie had lots of fun.

Happy 3rd Birthday Sophia! Here she is opening her Handy Manny singing card from Emma. We had a great day with her, since it was Labour Day we had the day off!
